ROSES FOR THE DEAD – funeral for a friend

Happy Birthday, Ru! You are finally NC-16 accepted.

I went over to her house this afternoon after walking around aimlessly at Junction 8 with her when I remembered that yesterday I was desperately looking for M*A*S*H the movie. We couldn’t find it in Poh Kim or Sembawang Music, so we left J8 to look around the neighbourhood shops.

At one of the neighbourhood shops, beside a Prima Deli, there was this apparel shop. They had quite a few nice tops, so I thought, why not see if they had any bottoms to go with the halter I bought for CNY. I tried on two – both black – decided they weren’t worth the $36.90 and told the saleslady that I’d have to think about it.

So she gave me a black face.

Which pissed me off bad.

Bloody service. And to think it was only two pairs of pants. The other day I went to AMK Hub’s Mondo and I tried on about 6 pairs of heels before finally settling on one. I think I stayed there for about an hour or so. Unlike that annoying saleslady, this salesgirl was friendly and considerably patient (I insisted to get another new pair after inspecting the first new pair she gave me and found creases on the patent material).

Ugh.

Anyway. Photos of Ru and I to be uploaded later. Maybe.

Back to the birthday celebration. My mum, Ru’s  family and my third aunt went to have curry fish head for dinner. Just when they served us the first dish (fried tofu thing), a fight started at the carpark right in front of us. I didn’t get to see much, but I suppose it was pretty violent, since an ambulance came during our third dish’s arrival to pick up one of them.

- Funny how I see so many fights around these days. Just two days ago, I witnessed another one of a young man and a middle-aged man outside Coronation Plaza when I was on bus 74. Then the security guard was standing at the sliding doors and watching. Lmao. My guess is that the young man stole something because he kept trying to run away while two people was holding on to his arms. -

I secretly went off towards the end of the dinner to go to a nearby bakery. Ru (sadly) remarked earlier that nobody bought her a cake so I got her a small slice with a candle (which isn’t free – it’s 10cents). And then she started crying and I started sniffling and it all went from there. Bwahaha. Running taps, we are.
